Helping Families Get the Right Support at the Right Time

Families navigating divorce, co-parenting challenges, blended family transitions, and family conflict often receive support from multiple professionals. My role is to help bridge the gap between understanding and implementation – helping clients develop the skills, structure, emotional capacity, and support needed to create healthier outcomes for themselves and their children.

My work is designed to complement – not replace – the legal, therapeutic, financial, mediation, and parenting coordination services clients may already be receiving.

Divorce Decision Map™

One of the biggest challenges families face is knowing what kind of support they actually need.

Many people seek legal strategy when they first need emotional stabilization. Others need practical skills, co-parenting support, stronger boundaries, or family systems coaching before they can effectively engage in other interventions.

That’s why I created the Divorce Decision Map™ – a practical tool that helps families identify where they are, what’s creating the greatest challenge, and what support is most likely to create meaningful progress. Integrated into the process is a Risk Mitigation Assessment that helps identify when emotional flooding, overwhelm, anxiety, or reactivity may need to be addressed first.

The goal is simple: get the right support to the right family at the right time.

When To Refer

Clients are often a good fit when you notice things like:

  • The same conflicts keep repeating, regardless of the topic.
  • They understand what needs to change but struggle to consistently do it.
  • They repeatedly send messages they later regret.
  • They are making decisions primarily to reduce stress, discomfort, or conflict.
  • They are emotionally overwhelmed, reactive, or stuck in fear, anger, guilt, resentment, or anxiety.
  • They are walking on eggshells, over-explaining, over-functioning, or trying to keep everyone else comfortable.
  • They feel responsible for managing other people’s emotions, reactions, or behavior.
  • They struggle with boundaries, communication, or decision-making.
  • They are exhausted from carrying everything themselves.
  • They are struggling with co-parenting, blended family dynamics, or major family transitions.
  • They need practical skills, structure, accountability, and support – not just insight.
  • They are so emotionally flooded that legal, therapeutic, coaching, or parenting work is difficult to access or apply.

While I often work with both parents, meaningful change can begin with one motivated parent. It only takes one person choosing to lead differently for a family system to begin changing.
